Lauren began serving on the United Way Board of Directors in 2021 and has remained an active and dedicated board member ever since. She currently serves on the board as the Vice Chair of the United Way of Lincoln County Board of Directors. She has built her career in the field of Gerontology, driven by a deep passion for supporting the aging population. She currently serves as the Piedmont Regional Manager for the SHIIP Division of the North Carolina Department of Insurance. In this role, she supports the department’s mission to serve Medicare beneficiaries across North Carolina.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, Lauren is also Certified Dementia Practitioner and a strong advocate for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease. She volunteers with the Alzheimer’s Association and serves on the boards of the Lincoln County Council of Aging and the Catawba County Council on Aging. Additionally, she is a member of the BOLD NC Team. Lauren is a graduate of Leadership Lincoln Class of 2021 through the Lincolnton- Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce and served as co-chair of the Leadership Lincoln Class of 2022. She is also a certified Mental Health First Aider through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. Lauren was honored as the Piedmont Region Coordinator of the Year by the NC SHIIP Division in 2020. As a registered notary in North Carolina, Lauren provides free notary services for seniors.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Adrian, and their two dogs Duke and Oakley. She also loves crafting and designing shirts on her Cricut craft machine. Lauren is a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Maiden, NC.
